My Latest Addition

The first thing I do, when I wake up in the morning (after snoozing my alarm 10 times) is scroll through  Instagram. I love photography and I love fashion, so it is a great way to start my day. Sometimes, scrolling through celebrity's Instagram pictures and other blogger's accounts, gives me inspiration for my outfit of the day.

Seeing people wearing different outfits, reminds me of things that I have in my wardrobe but it also makes me covet some of the beautiful pieces of fashion that floods my Instagram feed.

And, my latest obsession is a pair of strappy Nine West heels. For weeks, I have been waiting in anticipation for these beauties, to arrive in stores, so I could finally step my feet into them. 

And, when I did, I was in love.

Meet 'Sari' my latest shoe addition. They are everything I wanted them to be. They fit me perfectly. It's like they used my foot to develop the shoes. Almost an extension of my legs.

And, I had to have them.

I'm a shoe girl. I love them and appreciate different styles, designers and mass produced brands. My desire for a shoe is not label deep, it is based on they way they look, and the way they make me feel.

And these ones, make me feel amazing.

What I love about these shoes, is the confidence they give me. They are sexy, sassy, seductive and super feminine. If you feel down, these shoes will pick you right back up. They will give you a little spring in your step.

And I love the heel height of these. The 9cm heel, makes them a comfortable and sensible heel height. They are high enough to be super glamorous when you hit the town but they are also great for during the day.

They are feminine and flattering and go well with everything. I've worn them with a-line skirts, pencil dresses and even under skinny jeans. Since buying these shoes, they have made more appearances in daily outfits, then any of my other shoes.

Fashion News: Topshop Perth Opening Tomorrow!

Get excited Perth fashionistas! In less than 24 hours, Topshop Perth will be opening their doors, ready for trading.

First established in 1964, the fashion giant now has over 300 stores in the UK and more than 440 shops across 37 countries. And now, after months of preparation, the iconic, Bristish, fashion retailer will be ready for you too 'shop til you drop'.

Topshop Perth will be located on Murray Street Mall, right next door to the International fashion label Zara, which opened earlier this month. It's about time, that the fashion industry makes a mark on the Western Australia map!

I thought, to mark this momentous occasion, I would compile my current season Topshop wish list ready for the grand opening tomorrow.

Do you have that particular pair of shoes, that no matter how blue you are feeling, they make you feel better, instantly?

Well I do, and they are red.

No matter how sad or unmotivated I am feeling, as soon as I step my feet into a pair of bright, red shoes, my mood lifts and I feel like I am ready to conquer the world.

Red shoes are nothing new, they have been a popular trend for a long time, but I think they deserve a special mention for the Spring/Summer season. They are great to accompany your neutral Summer dresses during the warm months, but they are also fabulous for adding a pop of colour during the cold Winter months. The perfect all year rounder.

My tips for styling your red shoes are:

1. Add that little pop of colour to a basic neutral outfit. There is no neutral that red will not go with. My favourite outfit, is a black pencil skirts and white blouse, paired with red pointed toe pumps. The red adds a pop of colour to your outfit, while still being appropriate for the office.

2. For a fearless and jaw dropping outfit, definitely add your favourite red lipstick with your killer red heels and you'll be able to conquer any task given to you.

3. Avoid wearing your red shoes, with overly suggestive outfits. The pop of red in your shoes, is already sexy enough, so be sure to keep your outfit simple, classic and elegant. The red shoe will definitely do all the talking.

There are some things, that you should avoid wearing with red shoes. Red on red is just a red overkill and looks like you are trying to hard. And, the only appropriate time to style your red shoes, with a green outfit is Christmas time.

Last year, I dedicated a post to my first pair of red shoes. Since then, I have bought 3 more pairs and cannot seem to stop. There are so many pairs available and they come in an array of styles. You definitely should get shopping, to find the right pair for you.

Have you ever wanted something so much, that it is all you can think about?

Well, that happened to me, when I discovered a Michael Kors satchel handbag. I don't even remember when I first saw this handbag but whenever I would see people using it or see images of it on social media, it made me want it so much more.

I spent months dreaming about it and saving my money so when I did eventually find it, I could buy it.

And when I found it, I fell in love instantly. It was everything I wanted it to be. I was out shopping with my sister, when I saw it sitting on the shelf at David Jones. I had been to this particular store, many times before, but they never had it available. Once I tracked down a sales associate to assist me, she mentioned the bag had been on hold for someone else, who never came in to pick it up.

It was my lucky day. And, it was the quickest purchase I have ever made, that didn't involve shoes.

So why did I obsess over this bag so much?

This bag is amazing. I love how classic the bag is. It's simple elegance and classic shape, makes it the perfect satchel bag, to hold my life!

It is super chic with the handles but it is incredibly practical, when you transform it into a cross body bag. It's great when you need extra hands, for carrying your shopping.

I have never been much of a handbag person. When I find a handbag that I love, I use it for years and years, or until it breaks on me. This is my new pride and joy and I carry it around with me every single day. And I cannot be happier!

I have to admit, I am a Winter girl. I love the cold weather, wearing ankle boots and skinny jeans. But if there is one thing, I love about Summer, it's the strappy, high heel sandal.

What I love most about the high heel sandal, is how feminine and flattering they are. High heel sandals are the perfect accessory for the Spring and Summer seasons. They go well with the latest fashions and complement the latest prints and patterns.

The minimalism of the shoes, makes them, incredibly versatile. Having a simple shoe, means you can draw more attention to your clothes. So, be sure to pick the craziest and brightest outfit to style your high heel sandals with.

"Jewellery has the power to be this one little thing that can make you feel unique" Jennie Kwon.

Last week, I mentioned my love of accessories, well, this week I am going to mention my love of accessories...Again. With an emphasis on statement jewels.

Now, I want to mention, my love for shoes, has definitely not wavered at all. I still covet and buy way too many of them, but to me, jewellery is just as important when it comes to personal style.

A few month ago, I mentioned my love of Samantha Wills jewels. Well, since then, my love of Samantha Wills jewels, has grown, as well as my collection. 

And my latest Samantha Wills obsession, is the metal Bohemian Bardot ring collection.

These jewels make one hell of a statement. The only problem is, they are so beautiful, I had to buy more then one. And I still want more of them.

For months, Samantha Wills has been teasing us with glimpses of her upcoming collections. And for months I have been coveting them. You can only imagine my excitement, when her pieces finally arrived online and in stores.

As soon as I received the email that the gold bohemian ring was available, I was buying it online. I was still in my pyjamas, laying in bed. So of course, when she released the other metals, I knew they would be added to my online shopping cart also.

The amount of complements I have received from wearing these statement jewels is incredible. It gives me a confidence boost and makes me feel that little bit more stylish. I love the feeling I get when I wear these beautiful jewels.

The metal range of Bohemian Bardot rings are great, for adding that sparkle and luxury to your everyday wear. A popular trend at the moment is clashing your metals. So be sure to style your metal rings with other metal jewels to make more of a statement.

Perth has caught up with the Season calendar (about time!) and we are seeing some warm and sunny days. Finally some appropriate weather, to start calling it Spring time.

And there is nothing more appropriate then colourful shoes, to get you through your Spring season.

There is something about colourful shoes, that make you happy. They are bright and cheerful and just perfect for the Spring/Summer season. You should definitely step into a pair of bright, colourful shoes, to give you that little spring in your step.

Most women opt for neutral shoes, instead of coloured shoes, as they believe there are limitations to what you can wear with them. Now, it's true. Neutral shoes do go with absolutely every colour, print and pattern around but every now and again, you need to spice up your look and step into a killer pair of bright shoes.

Don't be afraid to wear multiple colours in one outfit. Colour blocking is a popular trend at the moment so why not try it with your shoes? Don't worry about the colours clashing as this is what colour blocking is all about. Just remember to keep the harmony of colours the same.

My tips for styling your colourful shoes are:

1. Style your bright and bold coloured shoes, with a neutral outfit. Step into those bright coloured shoes and your favourite LBD and you'll be ready for the spring races. They are the perfect accessory, to bring your outfit into the current season.

2. Match your shoes, to your outfit. If you have a statement outfit, with multiple colours, prints or patterns, pick out one of the colours in the print, and find a pair of shoes in the same or vary shade of the colour. This will tie the whole look together.

3. Add some accessories in matching colours. Whether it be a matching handbag, jewellery or a scarf, this will harmonise your outfit and make it pop.

You can't go wrong with a coloured shoe, this Spring/Summer.

It's Just a Chain Reaction

Accessories are an important part of my day. I work with them and I style my outfits, based around my accessories. To me, they make or break an outfit. They change your outfit from an "off the rack" look, to a unique and stylish ensemble. 

I love clothes and I am constantly coveting the latest designer pieces but I am a true accessory girl. 

And my latest accessory obsession is the body chain.

I first lusted over the body chain, when I saw a beautiful body harness by House of Emmanuele on one of my favourite fashion bloggers. And since then, I have been on the hunt to find one, that suits my style and price range!

And I have finally found it.

The Kookai body chain! 

While I was on a lunch break, I was scrolling through Instagram, when I spotted a picture by Kookai, featuring a body chain. And, I loved it immediately. I knew this was the body chain that I have been searching for. 

What I love most about the Kookai body chain is the simplicity of it. It's delicate and simple, which suits me perfectly. And it's great for everyday wear. I have styled my body chain, with plain dresses and even over t-shirts and jeans. I can't get enough of it.

Body chains are also very popular over swimwear. Many celebrities have been seen wearing them on the beach, over their bikinis.

For something a little different, body chains are great for wearing underneath clothing. There is something interesting and seductive about a body chain, peaking out from underneath your clothes. They look fabulous underneath a fitted jacket or loose fitting crop tops.

There are so many styles of body chains and body harnesses around. Some that are basic for everyday wear and some bejewelled harnesses that would be sure to make any woman sparkle.

To me, they are the perfect shoe all year round. They are a mix between a summer sandal and a strappy ankle boot. So, you can wear them in Winter, without looking out of place. You'll be sure to turn heads, when you step out in them.

What I love about the strappy sandals, is the seductive quality they invoke. They are a little bit sassy and a whole lot of sexy. So, if you are ever feeling down, step into one of these strappy heels, and your confidence will sky rocket.

So, why is this a popular trend for Spring/Summer?

They are great for the Spring races. They look super feminine and flattering with cute a-line dresses and full midi skirts. They also look great with pencil skirts and shift dresses. They are the perfect shoe, to bring your outfit from work to play.

They also have a seductive quality, when paired with skinny jeans and fitted jackets, in the Winter time.

And, a major benefit to strappy shoes, is they provide extra foot and ankle support. You'll be able to party the night away in comfort. How can you complain about that?

My tips for styling your strappy heels are:

1. Strappy shoes, make a bold statement so be sure to soften the harshness of the leather straps, with feminine and flattering silhouettes. You will have yourself an elegant and sexy ensemble.

2. Pull on your favourite jeans, shrug into a fitted jacket and step into your favourite strappy heels for an instantly chic look. The perfect outfit for the trans-seasonal weather.

3. My favourite look with strappy heels, is pairing them with full A-line skirts. This look is super feminine and amazingly sexy. 

Not everyone loves the strappy heel trend but this is definitely one trend you'll want to get your hands on quick.

My Designer Wish List

I love shoes.

It's as simple as that.

They make me happy, they are reliable and they don't break your heart.

It's true love.

And, one of my favourite shoe designer has me crushing...hard, every season.

Christian Louboutin is a legend and a fashion god. He creates beautiful, sexy, unique and super stylish stilettos, that would make any shoe lover swoon. I spend my free time, browsing and coveting his latest collections. Dreaming about when I would have money to be able to afford his beautiful designs.

So, I thought I would compile a list of my dream shoes.

1. Coming in at number one is the beautiful and amazing 'Hot Chick' black patent pump. Everyone needs a black patent pump in their life, and the 13cm stiletto heel is sexy and feminine. A definite must. Words by the fashion god himself, "high heels are pleasure with pain."

2. Everyone needs nude sandals in their collection. What I love about these shoes, is the two-tone colour, with the spike detail and not to mention, the alluring 12cm stiletto heel. It is pure lust at it's best and simply perfect for the Spring/Summer season.

3. There is not much I can say about these Mrs Bouglione shoes. They make a statement, draw attention to your shoes and are just flat out gorgeous. These are the perfect trans-seasonal shoe.

4. What can I say but Oh. My. God! Statement shoes are a must have in everyone's wardrobe. I first fell in love with these shoes, when I watched the 2nd Sex and the City movie. Since then, I have been dreaming of how I would feel, once I could finally step my feet into these gorgeous and flattering pumps. They had me at crystals.

5. Classic pumps are a necessity in every girl's wardrobe. So it's no surprise that another one of my wish list items is a pointed toe pump. But, what makes this pair amazing, is the 12cm heel and the cut outs on the side. This makes them super flattering, feminine and sexy as anything. I need these in my life.

6. And finally, my last, Christian Louboutin wish list item, is his 'Rouge' nail polish. I've always had a love affair for red nail polish. It is always my colour of choice when it comes to pedicures! So, when Louboutin released his new nail polish line, it became more of a need then a want. It's the unique glass bottle and tall, stiletto inspired cap, that had me swooning.

Christian Louboutin designs are timeless and classic. They can change any simple outfit, into a sexy and stylish ensemble.
