Autumn is here!

My favourite season is definitely Autumn. I love how beautiful the world looks, when it's covered by a blanket of Autumn leaves. Everything looks and smells incredibly fresh and the weather is perfect. But most of all, the fashion is amazing.

And my favourite thing to wear during the Autumn season is definitely ankle boots. They are super chic, comfortable and look fabulous with everything.

I was recently asked by a follower to share with you my shoe collection. So I thought I would bring back Shoe of the Week so you can take a virtual tour inside my shoe wardrobe. I would like to introduce you to one of my favourite ankle boots this season...

Meet 'Gabrie' by Wittner.

'Gabrie' boots by Wittner shoes

I first saw these shoes on the Wittner Facebook page and immediately needed them in my life. I loved the style and the uniqueness of them with the cutouts on the side and the block heel had me swooning. I was lucky enough, to buy these babies on sale.

"If I ever let my head down it will be just to admire shoes"

I love the versatility of these boots. The cutouts on the side, elongate your legs and keep your feet cool on warmer days, which makes them the perfect trans-seasonal companion.

The 7cm block heel provides a lot of support and stability, making them super comfortable. They are definitely the ideal bootie for shopping followed by a cafe lunch.

The perfect shopping companion

I love the versatility of these boots. They look fabulous with absolutely everything. I've styled them with shorts, dresses, skirts and jeans. The outfit possibilities are endless with these boots.

Which Shoe Would you Choose?

Sometimes picking the right shoe for an outfit can be the hardest thing to do! That's why I tend to dress from the feet up! But then, sometimes you find the perfect outfit that you cannot pass up!

So, I thought it could be fun, to find an outfit and match the perfect shoe to it.

And, I found the perfect outfit worn by Fashion Blogger Hanneli Mustaparta.

Here are the two shoes, I would pair with this outfit.

1. 'Umika' heels in black suede by Wittner shoes - I love the stiletto heel and the pointed toe. The trendy lace up front adds a bold statement.

2. 'Rolo' strappy sandals by Topshop - I love the trending metallic bodice on this outfit. I think adding a bright silver pair of high heel sandals, ties the look together and adds glamour.

I'd love to hear your opinion, which shoe would you choose? Black or silver?

How to Wear Ankle Boots… All year round

Ankle boots are by far, my favourite kind of shoe.

They are comfortable, stylish, practical and extremely versatile. They are also a shoe, that can be worn all year round. The perfect trans-seasonal accessory.

Ankle boots are a must have during Autumn and Winter as they keep your feet toasty warm and dry from the rain. Not to mention, ankle boots look fabulous, when paired with jeans, leggings and opaque tights.

What more can you want in a shoe?

Well, ankle boots are also fabulous during the warmer months.

This is usually the point, where people look and me strangely and ask, "ankle boots in Summer, really?"

And I say "Yes, really!"

Ankle boots look super chic when paired with Summer dresses. They give your look that much needed edge and make a statement. They also look fabulous when styled with shorts or playsuits for a more relaxed look.

Ankle boots are always popular. They come in an array of styles, colours and materials, which will guarantee, you find one to suit your style.

My current favourite ankle boots… 'Gabrie' boots by Wittner shoes.

Styling ankle boots in the warmer months is easy.

During the Summer, find a style with cut outs. This will elongate your silhouette and keep your feet cool in the heat. You can also look for a pair of ankle boots in a nude tone, close to your skin colour. This will draw less attention to your feet as the boots will tone in with your complexion and elongate your legs. Nude shoes are also the perfect accessory during Summer as they compliment bright colours, pastels, floral prints and other neutral outfits.

I personally wear ankle boots all year round. They are my go to shoe, when I want something comfortable and stylish. I have over 20 pairs of ankle boots and every season, I find a new pair that I have to add to my ever growing collection.

To me, ankle boots give me a confidence boost. They make me feel chic and stylish, with a little bit of an edge.

Currently Trending: Block Heels

I love high heels.

Especially the thin and slightly impractical, stiletto heel. But, I have to confess something... They are not that comfortable. They look fabulous and super chic but they are for standing around, not running around.

That is where the block heel comes in handy. The popular and current trending style, is a comfortable and safe shoe option for the Spring/Summer season.

So, why are the block heels so popular?

My current fave  by Wittner

Well, stating the obvious, they are comfortable. They give you the desired height, without sacrificing comfort. Wearing block heels means you can walk for miles, window shop for days and party all night long.

Block heels were never my favourite shoe trend. I thought they were too bulky and not flattering at all. So, I avoided them. That was until, I kept seeing them more and more. So, I decided to try them on.

My feet were in comfort heaven and I couldn't deny them, that feeling.

So I bought a pair.

It took me a while to get used to them. But now, they are one of my favourite shoes in my wardrobe. I wear them to and from work, casually on the weekend and I have never been so comfortable.

The chunky block heel provides much needed support under the heel of your foot and supports the arch of your foot. What more can you want from a shoe?

Veronika Maine skirt, Kookai crop top, Wittner heels and Samantha Wills necklace

There are so many styles and options available in a block heel. They are becoming popular with celebrities and they have even made an appearance on red carpet.

So here are my tips for styling your block heels this Spring/Summer season.

1. Block heels can be quite heavy so style them with chic and feminine silhouettes to soften the look. My personal favourite, is midi skirts and crop tops.

2. Block heels are great all year round. Be sure to style yours with a pair of jeans, a cotton tee and a fitted blazer, for an instantly chic look.

3. If you are still nervous to try this trend, start off with a small, block heel to gain your confidence and then graduate to a bigger block heel.

I will always be a stiletto girl, but this is one trend, that I will be embracing this season. They have already made multiple appearances in my daily outfits.

Happy shopping!

Currently Trending: Monochrome Madness

MONOCHROME!

Monochrome is the hottest trend to hit the runways and red carpets, for the Spring/Summer season. And what better way to complement those beautiful monochrome prints and patterns, then with a matching pair of monochrome shoes?

Monochrome, is definitely nothing new. It is a trend that has been popular over the passed few seasons. The two neutrals harmonize well together and designers are constantly gaining inspiration for monochrome designs. So it's no surprise, the trend has come around again, this season.

As Coco Chanel once said, "Black has it all. White, too. Their beauty is absolute. It is the perfect harmony." And, I couldn't agree more. The timeless classic, is glamourous, sophisticated and flattering on all skin tones.

To me, shoes, are the perfect accessory. With a quick change of shoes, you can have yourself, a fashion savvy and on trend ensemble. And, if you invest in a pair of beautiful monochrome shoes, you'll be able to wear them all year round. Monochrome is a great trans-seasonal trend and you'll definitely get your money's worth.

So, how can you style your monochrome shoes?

1. Add a monochrome pair of shoes, to a monochrome ensemble. Be bold. They are the perfect accessory to complement all monochrome prints. Just make sure you don't clash too many prints or patterns, as monochrome does make such a bold statement and it can look messy.

2. Add monochrome shoes with a matching clutch, to a bright, bold colour. Yellow, red, blue, green and orange look amazing when paired with monochrome accessories. Just make sure the colour is one, block colour. If it's printed or patterned, the overall look will be too busy and confusing.

3. That little black dress...Add a monochrome pair of shoes and you have a fashion forward, on trend look, ready for the Summer season.

4. Add a splash of colour to your monochrome look. It will break up the black and white and soften your look. I like to add red lips or coloured jewels to my monochrome ensembles. Everyone loves a splash of colour.

Monochrome is a simple, and timeless trend. Most people have the classic pieces in their wardrobe already, so everyone can pull this look together, effortlessly. Have fun shopping for that perfect pair (or two!) of monochrome shoes!

Shoe Addicts Anonymous

I have a problem... I'm addicted to shoes!

No matter how many pairs of shoes I buy, there are always many more, that I need in my life.

I want to introduce you, to one of the newest members of my shoe collection. Meet, the super girly, super fashionable 'Unicorn' by Zoe Wittner designs.

What can I say, except, it was true love at first sight. I was on the hunt for a pair of shoes, that were different to anything else I had in my wardrobe. And once I spotted these shoes, I knew I had found that 'something different'. I realised that I do not own anything pink in my wardrobe and I figured, why shouldn't I? So naturally, they came home with me!

I love everything about these shoes. The touch of pink makes such a statement against the black leather. These are the perfect addition to your little black dress or your favourite skinny jeans.

I especially love the pointed toe on this style. Pointed toe shoes are making a return this season with a vengeance! Everywhere I look, I am bombarded with so many colours, cuts and prints to choose from. Pointed toe shoes are feminine, classic and easy to wear for any occasion. How could I say no?

And, have I mentioned the heel? As many of my loyal reader's know, stiletto heels, are by far, my favourite kind of heel. They are feminine, classic, super stylish and just, fun to wear. Not to mention, they give you great calf definition, that would make any runner, jealous.

The 10.5cm heel is the perfect height. They are just high enough to wear out and feel glamorous but still a practical height for everyday wear.

These leather shoes, are fast becoming one of my favourites in my collection. They add a touch of glamour and femininity to simple ensembles. And despite the name, I assure you, there is nothing mythical about these shoes, they really are, that perfect!

A Woman's True Love...

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!

"You want to fall in love with a shoe, go ahead. A shoe can't love you back, but, on the other hand, a shoe can't hurt you too deeply either. And there are so many nice looking shoes" - Allan Sherman

Why do I love high heels so much?

Simple.
They make me feel confident.
They make me feel beautiful.

I am the youngest of three and have always had two other people fighting for the attention. This has made me a shy person and not very confident.

My demeanor instantly changes when I slip my feet into a pair of high heels. I stand tall, with my head held high and a smile on my face like a kid at Christmas time!

Something about high heels, can change a woman. For me, they make me graceful in the way I walk and the way I carry myself. They give me the confidence to interact with people. I feel like I can tackle whatever is thrown at me, if I have the right shoes. If I am having a fat day, I know my favourite shoes will always fit me.

High heels can change an outfit. Even the dullest outfit can look stunning with the right shoes to complete it.

High heels do wonders for your body image. They extend your silhouette, define your calf muscles and make your legs appear slimmer. Who couldn't love this?

I love getting compliments on my shoes, it gives me a thrill when I know people are admiring my footwear. Nothing makes me happier than when I step out in my new shoes and people instantly notice.

My confidence continues to grow along with my shoe collection. As Marilyn Monroe once said, "give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world." I couldn't agree more!

I caught up with a few people to find out what they love about shoes. Take a listen to what they had to say.

All I Want For Christmas Is ... Shoes!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

I woke up to the sound of my family's laughter and chatter, with Christmas carols playing on the surround sound, and the smell of a beautiful breakfast. I walked down the stairs to see my family sitting around the Christmas tree waiting for me to arise!

I love Christmas as it is a time to spend with your friends and family, share a delicious feast and exchange gifts.

Christmas time is my favourite day of the year, not because of the presents, but because of the time I get to spend with my family. My favourite part of the day is sitting around the Christmas tree, reminiscing about the year and the events that took place.

2012 was a great year for me, the standout moment was the 12th of May, the day my beautiful niece was born. Happy First Christmas Savannah, I love you and cannot wait to share many more Christmases with you.

To make this day even more special, I was gifted a beautiful pair of Wittner shoes!

Merry Christmas to my family and friends who I cannot share this day with. I am thinking of you all xo

To Walk in Someone Else's Shoes...

My favourites...

I have many shoes in my wardrobe right now and also many favourites but I have narrowed it down to my top five:

1. 'Swan' by Manolo Blahnik

Do I really need to explain? I fell in love with these shoes when I watched Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1. As soon as I saw these shoes on the big screen, I was looking them up on my iPhone. I knew in that moment, I had to have them. The detailing on these shoes, is exquisite.

2. Red Parisian Shoes by CosmoParis

Pure leather and made in Italy! I bought these shoes while I was in Paris last year, which makes them, even more special to me. They caught my eye from the other side of the department store. The combination of the colour and the shape is stunning. I love wearing these shoes as a statement! These are extremely comfortable to wear.

3. 'Ajana' in white leopard by Tony Bianco
This is my only pair of animal print shoes and I think they're amazing. The colour of them means you can wear them all year round. They look nice with plain black or white outfits, as a statement piece or to compliment bright colours during summer. The cut of this shoe and the size of the point is just perfect. These shoes are so versatile. I wear them with skirts, dresses, pants and jeans.

4. 'Miss Jubilee' in tan/coral by Peeptoe

I love the orange trimming on these shoes. The tan colour and open-toe, makes for a perfect summer shoe. I also love the cut of the shoe and the detail around the toes, it's so unique. I wear these shoes with summer dresses, skirts and jeans. These shoes are definitely one of a kind!

5. 'Luscious' by Wittner

These are so versatile. Everyone needs a classic black pump. These shoes are great for work and the patent leather dresses it up so I can wear them out on the town as well. It's a nice height so I can wear them for longer. The shape of the pump is an almond toe, which is stylish and unique. For those people who don't want to wear a round toe or a point, it's in between! I also have this style in a nude patent, which I love to wear during spring and summer.
