A Beautiful Swan

Have you got the most amazing pair of shoes in your collection but you can't wear them?

Well, I do and they are the stunning 'Swan' by Manolo Blahnik.

'Swan' by Manolo Blahnik

These shoes were my first ever pair of designer shoes and I love them dearly. These shoes were made especially for the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn movie as Bella Swan's wedding shoes. As soon as I saw them on the big screen, I was hooked on them. I was hunting for them online, while I was watching the movie.

I was obsessed from the first moment I saw them. It was love.

I needed these shoes in my life.

And I was generously gifted these beauties.

There is not much I can really say about these shoes but they are fabulous. Hand crafted in Italy, the quality of detailing is evidence of exceptional craftsmanship. And the quality of luxury materials, makes these a pleasure to wear.

The embellishments are stunning and exquisite

What I love most about them, is the exquisite, hand crafted embellishments. They make such a bold statement and draw so much attention to your feet. I have never seen a pair of shoes, as beautiful as these.

These are my Cinderella shoes. I feel like a princess, when I step my feet into them. The 4 1/2 inch (10cm) stiletto heel is the perfect height. They are comfortable enough to wear for any formal occasion but still tall enough to make you feel elegant.

To Walk in Someone Else's Shoes...

My favourites...

I have many shoes in my wardrobe right now and also many favourites but I have narrowed it down to my top five:

1. 'Swan' by Manolo Blahnik

Do I really need to explain? I fell in love with these shoes when I watched Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1. As soon as I saw these shoes on the big screen, I was looking them up on my iPhone. I knew in that moment, I had to have them. The detailing on these shoes, is exquisite.

2. Red Parisian Shoes by CosmoParis

Pure leather and made in Italy! I bought these shoes while I was in Paris last year, which makes them, even more special to me. They caught my eye from the other side of the department store. The combination of the colour and the shape is stunning. I love wearing these shoes as a statement! These are extremely comfortable to wear.

3. 'Ajana' in white leopard by Tony Bianco
This is my only pair of animal print shoes and I think they're amazing. The colour of them means you can wear them all year round. They look nice with plain black or white outfits, as a statement piece or to compliment bright colours during summer. The cut of this shoe and the size of the point is just perfect. These shoes are so versatile. I wear them with skirts, dresses, pants and jeans.

4. 'Miss Jubilee' in tan/coral by Peeptoe

I love the orange trimming on these shoes. The tan colour and open-toe, makes for a perfect summer shoe. I also love the cut of the shoe and the detail around the toes, it's so unique. I wear these shoes with summer dresses, skirts and jeans. These shoes are definitely one of a kind!

5. 'Luscious' by Wittner

These are so versatile. Everyone needs a classic black pump. These shoes are great for work and the patent leather dresses it up so I can wear them out on the town as well. It's a nice height so I can wear them for longer. The shape of the pump is an almond toe, which is stylish and unique. For those people who don't want to wear a round toe or a point, it's in between! I also have this style in a nude patent, which I love to wear during spring and summer.

Sole Mates

My very first pair of designer shoes...

'Swan' by Manolo Blahnik.

I love shoes so much and have close to 100 pairs of them, but these trump all the others in my wardrobe.

When I opened the box to these shoes, my hands were shaking and I was extremely nervous. When I saw these shoes nestled in the white tissue paper, my heart skipped a beat.

I couldn't believe my eyes.

Peeking up at me, through the white tissue paper, was a pair of white satin shoes, hand made in Italy with silver crystals embellished and beaded along the top and side of the shoes. Just beautiful.

I was extremely excited and couldn't wait to wear them. I felt like Cinderella as I anxiously and nervously slipped them on. They fit like a glove. They felt like they were made especially for my feet. Amazing!

These shoes were and still are the most amazing shoes I have ever seen. They have not only confirmed my love of shoes, but deepened the obsession more than I could of imagined.

These shoes now hold a permanent place in my room where I can admire them everyday.
