Talk is Cheap: Slogan Clutches

Let your accessories do all the talking with slogan clutches.

'More Issues Than Vogue' handbag by Colette

Slogan accessories are becoming more and more popular. Now, lets be honest. You either love them or loathe them, but there's no denying, they make a bold statement. And they are a fabulous conversation starter!

What I love most about a slogan clutch is how fun and quirky they are. They add humour and a certain edge to a person's outfit. And they make outfits, much more fun. Slogan clutches are fabulous to style with casual or street style outfits. It adds more detail to a basic outfit and they make people happy!

The opportunities are endless when it comes to slogans. Popular sayings, famous quotes and even music lyrics are the most popular choices. Some places even make customised handbags.

I searched the blogosphere for my favourite slogan clutches and here they are:

What do you think of the slogan clutch bag?

Which Shoe Would you Choose?

Sometimes picking the right shoe for an outfit can be the hardest thing to do! That's why I tend to dress from the feet up! But then, sometimes you find the perfect outfit that you cannot pass up!

So, I thought it could be fun, to find an outfit and match the perfect shoe to it.

And, I found the perfect outfit worn by Fashion Blogger Hanneli Mustaparta.

Here are the two shoes, I would pair with this outfit.

1. 'Umika' heels in black suede by Wittner shoes - I love the stiletto heel and the pointed toe. The trendy lace up front adds a bold statement.

2. 'Rolo' strappy sandals by Topshop - I love the trending metallic bodice on this outfit. I think adding a bright silver pair of high heel sandals, ties the look together and adds glamour.

I'd love to hear your opinion, which shoe would you choose? Black or silver?

Currently Trending: The Espadrille

Espadrilles have been popular for a few seasons now, but fashion is constantly reinventing itself that certain trends come back, bigger and better than before. And that is the case with the espadrille. One of the hottest Summer trends of the season.

Currently Coveting these Chanel espadrilles - Image via the Pint Sized Fashionista

Espadrilles are all about maximum comfort and simple styling.

There are many styles of espadrilles available. The sole of espadrilles are made out of natural fibres and can be in the form of a casual flat, platform and even wedge heels. They are a popular style amongst the designers and are extremely comfortable with a flexible jute rope sole.

They also come in an array of materials like canvas, suede, pony hair and other natural materials. You'll be sure to find a style that suits you.

Flat out amazing!

Styling flat espadrilles is all about comfort. They are suitable for any casual or street style dressing.

1. They look super cute with dresses. Style them with simple t-shirt dresses, straight cut dresses and also flowing A-line dresses.

2. Espadrilles also look fabulous when styled with denim. Whether denim jeans, skirts or shorts, they are a match made in heaven.

3. As espadrilles are made out of natural materials, style your espadrilles with other natural materials like cotton or linen for a more harmonious look.

Styling wedge espadrilles is about adding elegance and comfort to a simple outfit. Be sure to style your wedge espadrilles with chic, casual Summer dresses or skirts for lunch with the girls or a date with your man.

'Demi' Espadrille by Witchery

My current season espadrille is the Demi wedge heels by Witchery. I love the height of the wedge and the slight platform at the front. This will ensure maximum comfort and chic styling. The neutral tone makes them an easy shoe to style and match with everything.

Wearing espadrilles is all about comfort and casual dressing. So, slip into a pair, this Summer for a weekend lunch, a trip to the beach or even shopping in style.

Happy Shopping!

Flashback Friday

I am dedicating Flashback Friday to one of my most popular Shoe of the Week posts done back in 2013.

Meet 'Melpensa' by Windsor Smith.

Wearing Kookai dress

What I love most about these shoes is the minimalism. The single, delicate strap across the toes and around the ankle, makes them perfect for the Summer season.

The 10cm stiletto heel adds glamour and elegance to the sandal. They are the perfect heel height for any occasion. They are high enough to give your calf muscles a workout but they are still a comfortable heel to walk in.

But the main reason I love these shoes, is the gold studded detailing all around the shoe. They make them a statement sandal. Perfect for when you want to make a bold statement and turn heads. The contrast of the gold studs and black suede of the shoes, makes them a classic combination and a statement heel.

High heeled sandals are incredibly versatile. And these shoes are easy to wear with everything. They look fabulous with Summer dresses and playsuits but they also look elegant and chic with skinny jeans. My favourite Summer trend this season is the midi skirt and these heels are the perfect accessory to wear with them.

Currently Trending: How to Style your Mules

That's right fashionistas, the Mule is back…

And, it's one of the hottest Summer shoes, trending right now!

The mule is a backless shoe, traditionally with a closed toe. However, fashion is constantly re-inventing itself and there are so many more modern styles available.

Mules by Nine West / Ray Ban Sunglasses / Tony Bianco pouch

Most people are hesitant to wear a mule as they can be intimidating and chunky. Not to mention, the irrational fear of your shoe going flying while walking through a crowded shopping centre, is enough to stop you.

But, if styled correctly, mules can be super chic and elegant. If you are one of those people who are hesitant to try the mule, pick a delicate style with a thin heel and work your way up to the more traditional styles with a closed toe.

My tips for styling your mules are:

1. Style them with skirts. They look best with midi skirts that fall just below the knee. The mule can be quite chunky so pairing them with soft, feminine silhouettes will balance your look.

2. Pair your mules with your trusty denim. Step into your favourite mules along with your favourite pair of jeans for an effortless, chic look. Mules look best with denim, when you can see a bit of your ankle. So, cuff your jeans at the bottom and the mules will get all the attention.

3. My Mule of the Season is 'Fayme' by Tony Bianco. I love the 12cm stiletto heel and the pointed toe. They are elegant and perfect all year round. The double leather strap will ensure maximum impact and maximum comfort.

There are so many mules available now. You'll be sure to find a pair to suit your style.

How to Wear Ankle Boots… All year round

Ankle boots are by far, my favourite kind of shoe.

They are comfortable, stylish, practical and extremely versatile. They are also a shoe, that can be worn all year round. The perfect trans-seasonal accessory.

Ankle boots are a must have during Autumn and Winter as they keep your feet toasty warm and dry from the rain. Not to mention, ankle boots look fabulous, when paired with jeans, leggings and opaque tights.

What more can you want in a shoe?

Well, ankle boots are also fabulous during the warmer months.

This is usually the point, where people look and me strangely and ask, "ankle boots in Summer, really?"

And I say "Yes, really!"

Ankle boots look super chic when paired with Summer dresses. They give your look that much needed edge and make a statement. They also look fabulous when styled with shorts or playsuits for a more relaxed look.

Ankle boots are always popular. They come in an array of styles, colours and materials, which will guarantee, you find one to suit your style.

My current favourite ankle boots… 'Gabrie' boots by Wittner shoes.

Styling ankle boots in the warmer months is easy.

During the Summer, find a style with cut outs. This will elongate your silhouette and keep your feet cool in the heat. You can also look for a pair of ankle boots in a nude tone, close to your skin colour. This will draw less attention to your feet as the boots will tone in with your complexion and elongate your legs. Nude shoes are also the perfect accessory during Summer as they compliment bright colours, pastels, floral prints and other neutral outfits.

I personally wear ankle boots all year round. They are my go to shoe, when I want something comfortable and stylish. I have over 20 pairs of ankle boots and every season, I find a new pair that I have to add to my ever growing collection.

To me, ankle boots give me a confidence boost. They make me feel chic and stylish, with a little bit of an edge.

One Shoe, Two Ways

I'm a lover of strappy heels. They are the perfect all year round shoe. Which is why my shoe of choice this week is the 'Sydni' heel by Wittner shoes.

I love the gladiator style and the stiletto heels. Combined together, these shoes make such a bold statement, ready for any occasion.

And the perfect occasion for these shoes, is lunch with the girls:

Sydni heels by Wittner / SABA blouse / Fossil watch / Michael Kors tote / Jeans by the Iconic

The heels do all the talking with this outfit. By teaming these killer heels, with a basic outfit, it gives you an effortlessly, glamorous look. Styling strappy heels with cropped skinny jeans, elongates your silhouette and makes your legs go on for days. Adding a statement watch and oversized leather tote bag, completes the stylish ensemble.

They are also perfect for any cocktail party event:

Dress by Bec and Bridge / Witchery clutch / Zara necklace / Sydni heels / Chanel lipstick

Everyone has those cocktail parties to attend and what better party shoe is there than the strappy, gladiator heel? They are a shoe that is sure to turn heads. This Summer season is all about the Little White Dress, just as stylish as the trusty L.B.D. Pair the simple dress with a statement necklace for added glamour and a matching evening clutch to tie the look together. And don't forget a quick swipe of your favourite red lipstick for a killer look.

What's your favourite outfit to pair with your strappy heels?

A Hidden Gem

Don't you love it, when you stumble upon a little shopping treasure? Well, that happened to me and it's now, my favourite shop in the Perth C.B.D.

I was hunting for a quiet bar to have a drink with my beau, when I spotted a Samantha Wills necklace in the window. That was enough to stop me in my tracks. I was about to walk by but some unknown force, pulled me in.

And, as soon as I stepped over the threshold, I was in Samantha Wills heaven. There was a cabinet filled with sparkling treasures. And when I say filled, I mean absolutely filled. Necklaces, rings and earrings, sitting side by side in the long, glass cabinet. I could not take the stupid grin off my face.

I never new this little boutique existed. I have worked in the Perth C.B.D for just over four years and didn't know it was here. Not only did I buy a beautiful Samantha Wills handbag, I also found a necklace that I have been hunting for, for over two years.

If you are a Samantha Wills fans and live in this small Australian city, you should definitely check out Miin boutique on Murray Street to get your jewellery fix.
