One Shoe, Two Ways

Get right on point with the basic pump.

Pump shoes are a classic style to have in your wardrobe. If styled correctly, you can pair your pump shoes with almost any outfit.

My shoe of choice this week is 'Tatiana' in nude patent by Nine West. The classic nude leather will be the perfect accessory to complement any outfit, for any occasion.

Starting with a casual Sunday session in the Sun:

Portmans dress / Samantha Wills ring / Nine West pumps / Clutch by Colette

Pointed toe pumps are a classic style, especially neutral ones. They complement Summer prints and are elegant when paired with Summer dresses. Add a pop of colour and statement jewels to make the outfit pop. You'll be sure to turn heads in this statement outfit.

Get back to work in style, this year with the classic pump:

Cue skirt and blouse / Prada handbag / Fossil watch / Pump by Nine West

Get ready for the business meetings with the classic pointed toe pump. Style them with pencil skirts and soft blouses for an elegant and classic look. Add that chic handbag and statement watch for added glamour.

Currently Trending: The Playsuit

Playsuits have been a popular trend in the past. But this season, they have made a comeback with a vengeance. And it's no surprise.

Playsuits are perfect for the Spring and Summer season. They are amazing when styled with slip on trainers during the day and incredibly glamourous, when paired with high heeled stilettos for evening wear. They are the perfect from work to play outfit.

The Cross Neck playsuit by Cue

Playsuits come in an array of colours, cuts, fabrics and prints. There is definitely a playsuit for any occasion.

I used to think only super tall and wonderfully fit women could wear the playsuit, so I used to steer clear of them. That was until I found one that fit me perfectly. I loved everything about it. The colour, the print and the fabric. I couldn't walk away from it.

Since buying that particular playsuit, I can't help buying more. The effortless style of the playsuit is perfect for people who want instant glamour.

One of my all time favourite playsuits, worn by Samantha Wills

When it comes to choosing the right shoe for your playsuit, consider the function and occasion.

1. For casual wear - Step into a pair of slip on trainers for a sports luxe look. Consider the colour of your playsuit before choosing your shoes. If it's plain and a neutral tone, opt for a fun, textured pair of slip on trainers. If your playsuit is detailed and printed, choose a simple, basic pair. This will ensure you have a polished and bold outfit.

2. For evening/party wear - Have some fun with your footwear. Strappy summer sandals and high heeled pumps will be fabulous with any playsuit. My motto is "the higher, the better!" so don't be afraid to step out in your favourite skyscraper, ankle breaker heels for an elegant and classy look. Don't forget your statement jewellery and evening clutch, to complete the look.

3. My playsuit of choice for this season. is the 'Night Orchid' playsuit by Cue. I love the fabric, the print and the colour. It is the perfect outfit for any occasion. I have worn this playsuit to work, out to lunch with my bestie and even on my first date with my man. It is effortlessly chic and so comfortable to wear.

Playsuits are perfect for everyday wear during the Spring and Summer season. They are relaxed and super comfortable to wear. They are also the perfect outfit to transition from day to night. With a quick swipe of lipstick and a shoe change, you will be able to party the night away in style.

Happy shopping!

Kors I Can!

Have you ever wanted something so much, that it is all you can think about?

Well, that happened to me, when I discovered a Michael Kors satchel handbag. I don't even remember when I first saw this handbag but whenever I would see people using it or see images of it on social media, it made me want it so much more.

I spent months dreaming about it and saving my money so when I did eventually find it, I could buy it.

And when I found it, I fell in love instantly. It was everything I wanted it to be. I was out shopping with my sister, when I saw it sitting on the shelf at David Jones. I had been to this particular store, many times before, but they never had it available. Once I tracked down a sales associate to assist me, she mentioned the bag had been on hold for someone else, who never came in to pick it up.

It was my lucky day. And, it was the quickest purchase I have ever made, that didn't involve shoes.

So why did I obsess over this bag so much?

This bag is amazing. I love how classic the bag is. It's simple elegance and classic shape, makes it the perfect satchel bag, to hold my life!

It is super chic with the handles but it is incredibly practical, when you transform it into a cross body bag. It's great when you need extra hands, for carrying your shopping.

I have never been much of a handbag person. When I find a handbag that I love, I use it for years and years, or until it breaks on me. This is my new pride and joy and I carry it around with me every single day. And I cannot be happier!

What's your current handbag story?

Shoe of the Week

Dreaming of Paris...

I was walking down the cobble streets of Avignon. It had been a long and busy day, filled with sight seeing and exploring the history of the town. I was on my way back to the hotel, weaving through little alley ways, admiring the architecture of the town.

Somehow, I had managed to stumble upon a beautiful street, lined with fashion boutiques and beautiful cafes. Even when I am not trying, I can always find hidden fashion treasures.

Wearing: Cue Peplum Dress / Mimco pouch / Dotti Hat / CosmoParis high heels / Chanel lipstick

It was then, that I spotted them. They were sitting in the window of a beautiful boutique and I instantly fell in love. For a while, I had been on the hunt, to find the perfect pair of red, high heel shoes. I always thought they were feminine, flirty and fun and I really wanted to buy a pair for myself. But, finding the perfect red shoe, is much harder than it sounds.

I wanted a classic style, that was simple and elegant but did not look cheap and nasty. And these were it. Unfortunately, I hesitated. I continued down the street to the hotel. Leaving my shoes behind.

Once upon a time, I would hesitate to buy shoes. I would consider the cost of them. And, I would consider my need for them. How different I am now!

A few days later, I was shopping at Au Printemps in Paris, and I spotted them... Again. This time, I knew, it was meant to be.

I tried them on, and instantly wanted them. I love the vibrant red colour of them. They are a great accessory to brighten any outfit!

I love the patent leather as it makes them more elegant and feminine.

The heel is my idea of perfect. They are wonderfully thin and a comfortable height, ideal for all day wear. These shoes are hand made in Italy. Does it get any better than that?

I love these shoes and have worn them so many times. They are extremely versatile and go well with absolutely everything. The classic style means they go great with dresses, skirts and trousers for work, but they also look great under jeans for a more casual look.

These shoes are very special to me and have travelled all the way from Paris. Whenever I step my feet into these shoes, I instantly think of Paris. I start day dreaming about shopping on the Champs Elysees, climbing the Eiffel Tower and cruising down the Seine.

It is amazing how one pair of shoes, can evoke so much emotion and instantly transport me back to Paris :P

Have I mentioned that I love these shoes?

My Winter Staples

I sat in front of the wood fire, basking in the warmth of the flames. I can hear the pitter patter of the rain, lightly hitting the window. God, I love that sound. I take in a deep breath and the smell of rich, hot chocolate hits my nostrils. I can't help but smile. Everything about this scene is perfect, right down to my furry slippers and pile of fashion magazines.

I am a Winter girl, right down to my core (it may be hidden under a few layers of clothing!). I love the relaxing sound of rain, I love the cold wind on my face and I love the smell of fresh air. But, I especially love, Winter fashion. I look forward to Winter all year round. I love tailored jackets, warm woollen coats, scarves, boots and jeans.

I have spent the last few months building up my perfect Winter 2013 wardrobe and I thought I would share it with you. The below are my Winter staples for 2013 and items I cannot live without in the dead of Winter.
