5 things I want to do in Paris

When I first arrived in France, I had a short day trip in Paris. While this satisfied my desire short term, I have been dreaming about going back!

As a fashion lover, it's been my dream to explore one of the most popular fashion capitals of the world.

And now I can...

Here are the Top 5 Things I want to do in Paris:

1. Go to the Christian Louboutin store - As a shoe lover and a proud Christian Louboutin owner, I would love to visit the store and see all the beautiful shoes and dream about wearing them.

2. Have a picnic in front of the Eiffel Tower - Some people hate the Eiffel Tower and call it an eye saw, I personally am in awe of it everytime I see it. Tonnes of iron standing so proud, is admiring. And I want to enjoy a romantic meal with my Frenchy waiting for the night to come and the City of Lights to shine!

3. Euro Disney - The one and only time I went to a theme park, I was too small to enjoy the big kid rides and now I am at maximum growth, I want to feel like a kid again!

4. Walking along the Champs-Èlysées - Shopping is apart of who I am, so naturally I want to take a stroll down one of the biggest shopping streets admiring luxury brands and sharing French pastries with my Frenchy.

5. Evening river cruise on the Seine - So romantic for enjoying the City of Lights with your one and only.

There are so many more things I want to see and do in Paris but these are the top of my list!

What's your favourite thing to do in Paris?

Let's go travelling

I hate flying.

Being stuck in an aluminium cabin is not my idea of a fun time.

And don't even get me started on trying to sleep!

But flying is the quickest and most efficient way to travel 15,000 kms from Australia to France. And once the plane descended into Charles de Gaulle, I forgot all the troubles of flying.

But that's jumping ahead in the story...

Come travelling with me!

"Paris is always a good idea" Audrey Hepburn

Since before I can remember, I've loved Paris.

I woke up one day and decided I wanted to spend some time in the city of lights, exploring everything the city has to offer and to immerse myself in the culture.

However, life got in the way. Work and study took over and all I could afford was 2 weeks in France back in 2011. It was a great experience to see the world from the top of the Eiffel Tower, but it wasn't long enough to satisfy my childhood love of France.

But now... I have the opportunity to experience my dream.

I have just booked a one way ticket to Paris, France. And I can't contain my excitement (and fear) to experience something different and something new.

Last year I was fortunate to meet and fall in love with a gorgeous French man who will be taking me to France with him. In less than 4 weeks, I'll be setting off to the land of fine wine, pastries and cheese to live how a French does.

After exploring France, we will also continue to explore other European cities and see where life takes us. And I thought, why not share this time with my loyal readers.

So over the next few months, travel with me, where my shoes take me and explore everything Europe has to offer.

xoxo

Shoe of the Week

Dreaming of Paris...

I was walking down the cobble streets of Avignon. It had been a long and busy day, filled with sight seeing and exploring the history of the town. I was on my way back to the hotel, weaving through little alley ways, admiring the architecture of the town.

Somehow, I had managed to stumble upon a beautiful street, lined with fashion boutiques and beautiful cafes. Even when I am not trying, I can always find hidden fashion treasures.

Wearing: Cue Peplum Dress / Mimco pouch / Dotti Hat / CosmoParis high heels / Chanel lipstick

It was then, that I spotted them. They were sitting in the window of a beautiful boutique and I instantly fell in love. For a while, I had been on the hunt, to find the perfect pair of red, high heel shoes. I always thought they were feminine, flirty and fun and I really wanted to buy a pair for myself. But, finding the perfect red shoe, is much harder than it sounds.

I wanted a classic style, that was simple and elegant but did not look cheap and nasty. And these were it. Unfortunately, I hesitated. I continued down the street to the hotel. Leaving my shoes behind.

Once upon a time, I would hesitate to buy shoes. I would consider the cost of them. And, I would consider my need for them. How different I am now!

A few days later, I was shopping at Au Printemps in Paris, and I spotted them... Again. This time, I knew, it was meant to be.

I tried them on, and instantly wanted them. I love the vibrant red colour of them. They are a great accessory to brighten any outfit!

I love the patent leather as it makes them more elegant and feminine.

The heel is my idea of perfect. They are wonderfully thin and a comfortable height, ideal for all day wear. These shoes are hand made in Italy. Does it get any better than that?

I love these shoes and have worn them so many times. They are extremely versatile and go well with absolutely everything. The classic style means they go great with dresses, skirts and trousers for work, but they also look great under jeans for a more casual look.

These shoes are very special to me and have travelled all the way from Paris. Whenever I step my feet into these shoes, I instantly think of Paris. I start day dreaming about shopping on the Champs Elysees, climbing the Eiffel Tower and cruising down the Seine.

It is amazing how one pair of shoes, can evoke so much emotion and instantly transport me back to Paris :P

Have I mentioned that I love these shoes?
