My shoe choice this week is the Senso Riley heel. I have been coveting these shoes, since I first saw them. I love the block heel style and the lace up front. They are perfect for any occasion.

These heels are great for whatever you have planned for date night. They are casual enough for a movie night or sharing a takeaway pizza. The block heel looks great when styled with high waisted shorts.

How to Dress for NYE

It's that time of year again. December is almost over and we are about to start a new year.

And what better way to kick off the New Year, then in a fabulous outfit and killer pair of high heel shoes?

If you are lucky enough to have a fabulous NYE party to attend, the first thing to remember is, you want to make a statement. It is time to pull out all the glitz and glamour in an eye catching outfit to turn heads and have people talking (in the good way!).

So, what's the best outfit for the party season?

The first thing to remember is make a statement and be sure to show a little skin. The emphasis is on a little. If you have killer legs, be sure to wear a shorter length dress but keep the neckline simple and not so revealing. If your best assets are in fact, your lady assets, opt for a plunging neckline, but keep your dress length appropriate.

You can pick an interesting neckline for more flair. Try a sweetheart neckline, one shoulder dress or even go backless for a statement.

There's no better time of the year then NYE to add some sparkle to your outfit. Sequins are your friend this time of year. If you are game, try a sequin dress for that much loved sparkle. If you are a bit conservative, you can opt for a sequin skirt and add a plain top to complete the outfit.

If sequins terrify you, try a printed or patterned outfit for a statement. Even subtle metallics look amazing for the party season. And if you are still stuck for outfit choices, you can stick to that trusty Little Black Dress for a classic and sophisticated outfit.

Now, for accessories and the most important… Shoes. My favourite accessory. Opt for a pair of shoes that draws people's attention to your feet.

My top party shoes are:

1. Strappy shoes -  They are fun, flirty, feminine and sexy. What more can want in a party shoes?

2. Metallics - Metallics shoes are a popular trend at the moment and perfect for adding subtle glamour to any outfit.

3. Glitter - NYE is the best occasion for anything that sparkles, so why not let your shoes sparkle and shine while the count down is on.

Jewellery is also important for the party season. Be sure to pick jewellery that makes a statement. Just remember to keep the look simple. If you have big statement earrings, leave the necklace at home. Or if you want to wear a chunky, statement necklace, wear small studded earrings to balance the look.

Find a statement clutch in a tone that matches your other accessories. Just be sure to keep the harmony the same so the look is well balanced. And don't be afraid to find the most jewelled or glittery clutch for more glamour.

And as for makeup, don't be afraid to go strong. Smokey eyes, bold lip colours or glitter, are all important for a NYE party. Just remember, less is more. Pick one and do it well.

And finally, remember to have a good night, drinks lots and bring in the New Year with lots of fun and laughter.

Have you ever hesitated to buy a pair of shoes, because you didn't know what to wear them with?

So many customers come into the shop and try on shoes but they are hesitant to buy them, because they don't know what to style them with. Some of them return a few days later, wearing something completely different, to see how they look.

Most of the time, they buy them, because they have at least two outfits to wear them with.

I felt inspired to do the same, on my blog. Every week, I will find a popular shoe style and show you two different outfits, to wear them with. My first shoe choice, is the popular high heel Summer sandal.

And my first outfit choice for the high heel Summer sandals is:

Most people are hesitant to wear the Summer sandal to work. Depending on how strict your workplace is for closed toe shoes, the Summer sandal can be styled for corporate wear. By adding a structured suit jacket over a fitted pencil dress and a black leather barrel bag, you have an outfit worthy for business meetings. The heeled sandal is perfect for the warmer months as it is a minimal style and lets your feet breathe!

I think it's obvious now, that I am a shoe addict.

I buy way too many shoes and spend endless hours dreaming about them.

Sometimes I love certain shoes, for one season and other times, I have my favourites that remain throughout every season. And one of my favourites, was also, one of my first Shoe of the Week posts almost two years ago.

And since then, they still remain one of my favourites.

What I love most about them, is how unique they are. I love the gold plating and leather contrast. They are such a classic combination. They are glamorous and perfect for any occasion.

These are always my first choice when it comes to formal or elegant occasions. My favourite thing about these shoes, is the towering 12cm stiletto heel. Whenever I feel down or need a confidence boost, I step into these heels. And almost instantaneously, I feel better.

I love the versatility of these heels. I have worn these shoes so many times. I wear them with skirts, dresses, jeans, playsuits and jumpsuits.

These are the perfect Summer sandal, with the feminine t-bar strap. I also love these shoes so much, I bought them in another colour.

Two years on, these are still one of my favourite shoes in my collection.

Everywhere I look, I am bombarded with the popular Summer trend...

Orange. 

Orange jumpsuits, orange jewels, orange handbags and of course, orange shoes. It's the perfect Summer tone.

There is something refreshing about the popular shade of citron.

So, why is orange such a popular trend this season?

Orange is the perfect Summer colour for everyone. Orange is flattering on all skin tones, whether you are pale like me or blessed with beautiful olive skin, you'll be able to find a shade to suit you. Orange is a great colour to accompany nude accessories, neutral outfits and even floral prints.

How could you say no, to the perfect summer tone?

3. Nicholas silk bodice dress. It's everything I want. I love it. I especially love the cut out detail on the bodice. It's the perfect dress for any summer occasion. You can pair this dress with nude strappy heels for an elegant ensemble and add a splash of gold jewels for extra luxe.

My Namesake!

Have you ever wanted something so bad, that it's all you can think about?

Well, that was me, when I first laid eyes on a pair of Christian Louboutins.

For years, I worked long, tiresome days. My work was always busy and stressful, so I decided to treat myself to a pair of Christian Louboutins. And it was way too easy to find the perfect pair to buy.

Meet 'Fifi' by Christian Louboutin.

I was hooked from the first moment I saw them. I love everything about this style. I love how classic the black patent leather and the black spikes look and how well they work together. And I love how classic the round toe pump is. It is a simple and elegant style but fun to wear with the spikes.

Not to mention, I seriously love the stiletto heel. It is terrifyingly thin but oh so alluring.

And who can look passed the trademark, red lacquer sole, without seeing red? This was where my obsession deepened.


These shoes are such a classic style, that they are the perfect accessory, to accompany any outfit. The only problem is, I'm too afraid to wear these shoes out. I love them and worked so hard to get them, that I am afraid I will ruin them.

So, for now, these babies, sit nestled in soft tissue paper, safely stored away until the right occasion for me to wear them.

A Beautiful Swan

Have you got the most amazing pair of shoes in your collection but you can't wear them?

Well, I do and they are the stunning 'Swan' by Manolo Blahnik.

These shoes were my first ever pair of designer shoes and I love them dearly. These shoes were made especially for the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn movie as Bella Swan's wedding shoes. As soon as I saw them on the big screen, I was hooked on them. I was hunting for them online, while I was watching the movie.

I was obsessed from the first moment I saw them. It was love.

I needed these shoes in my life.

And I was generously gifted these beauties.

There is not much I can really say about these shoes but they are fabulous. Hand crafted in Italy, the quality of detailing is evidence of exceptional craftsmanship. And the quality of luxury materials, makes these a pleasure to wear.

What I love most about them, is the exquisite, hand crafted embellishments. They make such a bold statement and draw so much attention to your feet. I have never seen a pair of shoes, as beautiful as these.

These are my Cinderella shoes. I feel like a princess, when I step my feet into them. The 4 1/2 inch (10cm) stiletto heel is the perfect height. They are comfortable enough to wear for any formal occasion but still tall enough to make you feel elegant.

Did you know, there is only 5 Saturdays until Christmas? Scary, right?

We are definitely well and truly into the festive season, which means it's time to plan your work party outfit, so you'll be ready for the occasion.

My Christmas party is coming up this weekend and I thought there is no better time, then now, to plan my outfit.

When it comes to work Christmas parties, one thing to remember is, it's your WORK Christmas party. Which means you still need to dress and act in a sophisticated and professional manner. There are definitely some outfits that should not be worn, while you're sipping champagne with your Boss' Boss' Boss.

First thing you need to consider, when dressing for your party, is the type of event. If it's a day time event, you can wear a simple dress and low heels. For an evening event, opt for a cocktail dress.

My favourite quote is "You can never be over dressed. What's the worst case scenario? You're the best dressed in the room!" So my motto is, 'If in doubt, always overdress'.

And there is nothing better then the trusty little black dress, to get you through the Christmas season.

It's time to step out in those bright and shiny metallic heels, ready for this Spring/Summer Season.

The metallic shoe trend, is nothing new. Like most fashion trends, it's one that has been in and out of fashion for the passed couple of seasons.

So, why are metallic shoes, always a popular trend?

Here are my tips, for styling your metallic heels this season:

1. Treat them as a neutral shoe. There is nothing you can't wear with metallic shoes. The general rule to follow, is keep the harmony the same if you are wearing other 'heavy metal'. Don't clash too many metals when you are wearing your metallic shoes. The shoes make enough of a statement.

2. Keep your look simple and basic, when it comes to styling your metallic shoes. You want the shoes to get the attention. So a L.B.D or jeans and a basic camisole are the perfect accompanying outfit.

3. Tie in other metals, in the same tone as your shoes. This will ensure your look ties well together and blends everything together seamlessly. Whether you have statement jewels, in similar tones, or a statement clutch. 

The metallics trend, is one of my all time favourites. I must have been a magpie in a previous life... I love anything shiny. Especially my shoes. They can boost my mood and make me feel like I am ready to tackle anything.

So, I think it's obvious by now... I have two obsessions.

One major one... All things shoes.

And, secondly... My love of Samantha Wills jewellery.

My Samantha Wills obsession started almost two years ago. I was browsing Instagram, when I spotted one of her pictures. Since then, I have been hooked. I love how unique her pieces are. The super chic bohemian style contains the right amount of luxury. Perfect for any occasion.

My bestie and I have also bonded over her pieces. Whenever we are together, we talk about the latest collections and our current SW favourites. 

So, it's no surprise that another one of my Accessory of the Week, contains a Samantha Wills piece.

I love statement necklaces. 

They lift simple outfits, into stylish and unique ensembles. If you are lacking outfit inspiration, adding a statement necklace can make you feel instantly chic. I love the unique shape of the 'Let's Get Lost' necklace. The beautiful etching draws attention to the turquoise bardot stone in the middle of the pendant.

What I love most about Samantha Wills jewellery, is how you can mix and match different pieces from previous seasons, and they all blend so well together. I had a bardot ring from a season before, which looks great when styled with the statement necklace.

What can I say about this latest trend, except, you definitely need at least one in your Spring/Summer wardrobe...

You can't go wrong with a midi skirt. It is the perfect outfit to take you from day to night. Whether you are heading out for a day of shopping or out at dinner with your beau, this is the perfect all rounder.

The midi skirt is incredibly feminine and flattering when styled correctly.

The midi skirt is most amazing when styled with high heels. If you are a flats kind of girl, then this is one trend, you'll have to miss. Unless, you are one of those women, blessed with above average height! There are many heel heights and types available, I'm sure you can find one style to suit you.

For a casual day-to-day look, style your midi, with chunky block heels or low heeled stilettos. This will give you an effortlessly chic look and make your legs look amazing. When it comes to styling your midi skirt for a more formal occasion, this is where you can pull out your ankle breaker high heels and sparkling blouse.

Here are my tips for styling your midi skirts and the shoes I would choose to style with them.

1. Always wear high heels with your midi skirts! This is a must. If not, your legs will look short and stumpy, which won't be flattering at all. The only exception to this rule...if you already have legs that go one for miles.

2. Style your high waisted midi skirt, with crop tops. This will make you look so much taller. Have some fun with your crop tops. There are so many styles available.

3. As most midi skirts are full and puffy, remember to keep the look balanced. With a full and heavy skirt on the bottom, remember to keep your top half fitted, otherwise you will appear heavier than you are. Styling tip: Add a belt to your waist. This will cinch you in and give you a nice feminine shape.

4. As for the shoes, you can step into a pair of chunky block heels for casual, everyday wear. Style your midi skirt with a simple t-shirt (always tucked in) for an effortless look. And, finally, step into a pair of pumps and a soft blouse ready for the office.

Every girl needs a statement clutch in their life.

They are bold, beautiful and the perfect accessory for any occasion. They can lift a simple outfit into a head turning ensemble, worthy of the red carpet.

And, I finally 'bit the bullet' and purchased myself a beautiful statement clutch by Samantha Wills. I have been coveting these handbags, since she first released them but I managed to convince myself I could live without one.

One day, I decided to take a closer look at the handbag and it was the worst mistake I could have made! I fell in love instantly. The clutch fits perfectly in my hand and feels amazingly chic, to hold.

I love the feel of the black satin in my hand. It is a beautiful and soft, luxury fabric. But my favourite thing about the clutch is the beautiful turquoise bardot stone on the front.
