Where my shoes took me: Hola Barcelona

After 4 days in Toulouse, we travelled through Argeles and continued into Spain. We drove for a few hours and found our destination...

It was only meant to be a one night destination but we loved it so much so we stayed an extra night!

We set into our camp before hopping on a bus and travelling for 45 minute minutes into the city centre. We were both so excited to explore a new city. We had our heads in the street map to start ticking off the monuments.

We were rewarded with 35 degree heat so we started with a refreshing beverage before walking many kilometres!

We admired the modern, gothic and historical architecture for many, many hours.

After working up an appetite we decided we had to indulge in the traditional Spanish cuisine...

Tapas.

We searched all the alleyways to find the best place to enjoy the cuisine. We sampled sangria, chorizo, seafood, potatoes and so much more!

It was simply delicious! We enjoyed it so much so we decided we needed another day to explore the wonderful city some more!

The next day, we explored more sights, walked along the Barcelona Port and hopped between bars and restaurants to sample more cuisine.

Barcelona is such a big city! We only explored half of what it has to offer. One day we will return to Barcelona to explore the rest of the city. Once I can speak French, my next goal is to learn Spanish so I can come back to explore Barcelona and visit Madrid too!
