Friday Dreaming!

Like most women, I love fashion. I love dressing up, I love feeling confident in new clothes and I love all the latest designer fashion.

But unfortunately, I can't always buy what I want (something I have only just recently discovered!) So instead, I spend a lot of my spare time, surfing the internet, coveting the latest fashion and drooling over the lust-worthy shoes.

I felt inspired to share with you, some of my favourite things, I have stumbled upon lately (who knew Pinterest was so addictive?!) So go ahead, scroll down and spend your Friday dreaming of fashion!

A little leopard never hurt nobody!

Everyone needs a little leopard in their wardrobe and the best way to add the fierce print to your collection is in the form of footwear. And my newest shoe love, is the Nine West 'Orion' boots!

Wearing: Cue top / Kookai pants / Tony Bianco pouch / Nine West boots

I love these boots for the little splash of leopard print at the heel. With an all black outfit, they add an interesting detail to your look and gives your outfit an edge.

As I have mentioned in so many posts, I love ankle boots. They are the easiest shoes to wear and the most comfortable to wear all day long. And, they look fabulous with almost everything.

So when I saw the Nine West Instagram feed and the beautiful Rebecca Judd styling these shoes, I knew immediately that I needed to add them to my already large ankle boot collection.

My reason for needing them was very much justified! In my ankle boot collection, I don't actually own a pair of flat ankle boots for everyday wear. I have stiletto heels, block heels, lace ups, wedge booties but no flat ones.

So this season, I made sure I had a pair!

And I love them!

I love styling these boots with jeans and black skinny pants and I love to add some feminine silhouettes to make the look more girly.

It's a rarity, to see me in flat shoes, but I think I have just found myself a pair of shoes, that I will be building my daily outfits around.

Currently Trending: Animal Instinct

It's a jungle out there and sometimes you need really good shoes to get you through it.

And this season is all about animal prints.

Tony Bianco 'Leola' heels in Zebra strip

Reptile, leopard, giraffe, zebra and tiger stripes are some of the popular prints that we are seeing in stores and online for the new season.

So, why are they so popular?

Animal print shoes are a great way to add an interesting element to a basic outfit with minimal effort. Adding a splash of animal print is a sure way to bring out your wild side.

Here are my tips for styling animal prints!

1. Build your outfit around the colour palette of your print. Animal prints look best when they are the focal point of your outfit. So style your animal print heels around a neutral palette and they'll be sure to roar.

2. Add a glamorous evening bag in a similar animal print for a more balanced look.

3. Don't be afraid to print clash. If you want to add another animal print to your outfit, be sure to keep the colours the same so your look is more harmonious. If you are game and can pull off crazy outfits, florals and strips are fun prints to style with your animal print heels.

4. Bright and bold colours make animal prints pop. Choose one block colour in an item of clothing and step into your favourite animal print high heel shoes and you will have a fun and bold outfit.

The main thing to remember is animal prints are basically neutrals so you can wear them with absolutely everything! And, those cute animal print heels you've been eyeing off, you should definitely get them! Animal print high heels never go out of style.

Happy shopping!
